Coastal roadtrip!

After spending our first night in LA ( free upgrade to a suite, what a great start) we packed our big ass rental car with food and drinks and started driving up the coast to Monterey. After a romantic beachwalk and our first pacific sunset we stayed at Loverspoint inn, it finaly started feeling like holidays.
In the morning we visited the historic center of Montery, including the fishermans warf. Interesting to see the Japanese heritage in this region, which they were actually celebrating that day. On the pier in the warf we saw many cute little shops and spotted our first sealions.
We followed the Pacific coast highway up to Santa Cruz. What an awesome town! Very relaxed (with the familiar smel of certain herbal cigrarets) and very warm too. We strolled allong the boardwalk, and enjoyed the carnival that has been there for many many years. At the end of this lovely sunny Californian day we drove into San Fransisco.
